Jay Westerdal of domaintools.com pre-announced today (as a reply in the comments area of a recent “Top Picks” blog post) that the upcoming domain auction will be pushed back one week: from January 3rd to the new auction closing date of January 10th.

This is welcome news to domainers (including myself) who have domains who have made it on “the list” for the upcoming live auction.  The more advanced notice, promotion and buzz we can get for the auction, the better.

This also gives auction sellers a chance to contact potential buyers to let them know that a domain they may be interested may be going up for auction.

Advanced bidding is scheduled to open later today (Monday, December 31st, 2007), so keep an eye out for a chance to pick up some great premium domains.
